Team Give & Go Scholarship & Fundraising.
There is nothing better than a timely assist on the soccer field and most importantly in the game of life. Soccer is one of the most popular sports in the world. However, it has a problem in America: pay-to-play soccer. The pay-to-play model in America means that many people simply can't afford to play soccer. This model have resulted in fewer opportunities for girls and athletes of color who might otherwise be able to pursue their dreams of playing soccer for an academy club, university, or professionally. Since most teams don't offer scholarships, parents who are struggling financially often have to make difficult financial decisions in order to allow their children to play.
The good news is that these problems aren't insurmountable—we can work together as a community to change things for the better! And this is why we’ve launched the Team Give & Go ‘Nice Assist” Scholarship with the support of Dick’s Sporting Goods.

You can work concessions during events held at major stadium venues across the country. This opportunity allows you to be part of various exciting events, including professional basketball, football, hockey, and baseball games. In addition, you can participate in catering for concerts, ice shows, rodeos, and the circus, providing a variety of food and beverage options to attendees. Working in concessions not only offers a chance to earn income but also to experience the lively atmosphere of these events firsthand.

In certain states, you must be certified to sell alcoholic beverages. We will direct you to the appropriate certification in your state if required. Most state certifications are valid for two (2) years. Additionally, you must complete a 15-minute online LEVY training. LEVY is the food corporation that operates the concession stands.
Another requirement is to complete the stadium training in the city where you intend to work. These training sessions are held once a month and have a limited capacity. The most efficient way to fulfill these requirements is to complete the LEVY training, attend the monthly meeting, and finish your beverage and stadium training simultaneously. After completing these steps, you will be ready to work the following day. Please note that the alcoholic beverage training and certification costs $15.00.

Monthly earnings from participation in events can fluctuate based on the number of events worked. On average, each event compensates around $250.00 for approximately 4-5 hours of work, with many events offering payouts exceeding $300.00. It is important for each volunteer to engage in a variety of events without focusing solely on the payout amounts. By actively participating in these opportunities, each volunteer can effectively raise the funds needed to cover their soccer fees.

Checks are issued approximately 45 days after the month in which the event occurs. For instance, checks for February events will be distributed during the second week of March. It is crucial to plan ahead for the traveling expenses or tournaments for which funds are being raised. By doing so, the money will be accessible before it is actually needed. The checks are provided by Parents for Players and are made payable to the player's respective team.
